Whats on offer this season
The ITHA’s new 2015-16 season, offers a host of speakers giving presentations of their travels to such places as Russia, Norway, Morocco, Bolivia, Mexica and Zululand.

Wednesday 30th September 2015.
Eight visits to ‘Zululand’ & Chris and Keith Buxton give us the Zulu War, Zulu culture, animals & Christmas in a tent!

Wednesday 14th October 2015
Paul Hindle takes us on tour of the Aztec and Mayan sites in Mexico, Guatemala & Yucatan in ‘Indian Mexico.’

Wednesday 21st October 2015
‘Bolivia, the High Country’ is Pax Garabedian’s journey from La Paz to the country’s high altitude areas and National Parks.

Wednesday 4th November2015
Howard Phillips travelled ‘Vietnam South to North’, meeting the people and discovering the country.

Wednesday 25th November 2015
Peter Edwards visits Mani, in the footsteps of Patrick Leigh Fermor, and small Greek Islands in ‘Greece from the Peloponnese to the Dodecanese.’

Wednesday 16th December 2015  ( Members’ Evening.)

  • John Bleazard visits Malta in September to give a ‘Maltese Miscellany.

  • Karen Stretch spends ‘48 Hours in Helsinki’  to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Sibelius’s birth & practise her Finnish.

  • Les and Pauline Mason give us ‘Luxembourg - the Little Gem on our Doorstep.’ They explore the city, the countryside and the history of this tiny Grand Duchy.

David and Julie Swift take a driving tour to show us the ‘Cities, Canyons and Scenic USA’.

Wednesday  17th February 2016
The contrast of ‘The Canadian Rockies in Spring and Autumn,’  is our story tonight from Alan and Pat Porrett.

Wednesday  9th March 2016
Anne and Gordon Sharp share their once in a lifetime visit to the High Arctic  and visit the Swiss Alps and the Alpine Expresses, in an evening called  ‘Winter Travels with Spellbound.

Wednesday 30th March 2016
Jane Black was driven round Bali, guided by a Singaporean friend, and tells us of her ‘Impressions of Bali,’ the Bali tourists don’t see, plus a glimpse of Singapore.

Wednesday 13th April 2016
John Pilkington is travelling from Poland to Ukraine and planning to visit the so called, breakaway states of Transnystria, Crimea, the People’s Republic of Donetsk, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. His talk is entitled ‘Russia and Europe: What Next?’

Wednesday 27th April 2016
Pam Dowson has had to postpone her talk until the beginning of next season. In her place, Keith and Chris Buxton have brought forward their talk on "Iceland, the Full Circle".

Wednesday 4th May 2016

After the AGM Nicola Smith will tell the story of her visit to ‘Morocco’, for a yoga camping holiday in the mountains of the High Atlas.
