Wednesday 28th September 2011
We begin the new season with Chris and Keith Buxton who travels to Sarawak in Borneo, with a talk called “Sarawak, Land of the Headhunters.” This includes visiting the orangutangs.

Wednesday 12th October 2011
We welcome back Peter Logan who visits ground familiar to many with his story of “Provence and the French Riviera” Roman & Medieval history, Impressionist artists and the glamour & sophistication of the Riviera.

Wednesday 26th October 2011
Tony Redford “Returns to Hong Kong”. He was inspired to return by the diversity and photographic potential of and this truly exciting city.

Wednesday 9th November 2011
Margaret Goodwin ARPS, a new speaker to us, has visited over 80 countries, many just opening their doors to the outside world. She is an adventurer and will tell us about 2 journeys “The Tribal Lands of Orissa and Gujarat” and “Garhawal’s Valley of Flowers”.

Wednesday 23rd November 2011
Paul Hindle will show us “Bolivia” and he describes the country from the salt flats to the silver mines, including Tiianaku, La Paz, Potosi, Sucre, Amazon jungle and Lake Titicaca.

Wednesday 7th December 2011
Tonight is Members’ Evening, when our own travellers tell us their stories. John & Yvonne Bleazard describe “Brazil Naturally” including Brasilia and the Iguassu Falls. John and Lynne Collier give us a whislestop tour of “Canada” as they visit the west of the country. Ann McCarthy illustrates the story of “Tunisia’s Ancient History” with her images taken on a journey across the country.

Wednesday 8th February 2012
This year Pam Dowson’s journey is called “Holland and Germany off the Beaten Track.” She travels through Holland, to the towns of the east, and on to Goslar, The Harz, Wernigerode, Dresden, Swiss Saxony and Colditz.

Wednesday 22nd February 2012
Mo Holland returns to tell us about “Russia’s Empire on the Black Sea.” Catherine the Great’s legacy is still much in evidence in this photographic journey to Russia’s former strongholds.

Wednesday 14th March 2012
Geographer Howard Phillips visited “The Azores; the Green Islands;” a journey to this group of nine islands on the mid Atlantic Ridge, with spectacular volcanic scenery.

Wednesday 28th March 2012
Jane Black ARPS,FPSA,Hon PAGB spent time on “Wanderings in Laos and Cambodia” She visited Luang Prabang and the phenomenal Angkor but most enjoyed wandering through local villages.

Wednesday 25th April 2012
John Pilkinton is on his journey as this passport is printed. This sequel to his “Axis of Evil” is called“Georgia to Afghanistan” The journey is planned to include the Caucasus, across the Caspian Sea to Samarkand, the High Palmirs of Tajikistan and Afghanistan before finishing in Kashgar.

Peter Farnell planned and booked his own holiday to “Georgia and the Carolinas” parts of the USA less well known to travellers

Wednesday 2nd May 2012
A.G.M. - followed by: Steve Cushing loves challenges and his story is called “The Ice Marathon.” A marathon on ice and snow in a temperature of minus 20 degrees centigrade!
